Balance & Fall Prevention Therapy
Balance & Fall Prevention Therapy
-
Evaluation
Your baseline evaluation will determine your Stability Function Index. This information will be used to create a customized treatment plan designed to strengthen key musculoskeletal systems and correct proprioceptive deficits throughout the body.
-
Treatment
Mechanical Motion Therapy uses specialized protocols to stimulate the soft tissues and neural pathways, leading to restored and enhanced balance and coordination by correcting problems that result from musculoskeletal and proprioceptive deficits.
-
Freedom
Whether you need an edge on the field, or you simply want to improve your quality of life, Mechanical Motion Therapy has helped thousands of patients around the world improve performance, restore peace of mind, and safely lead the lifestyle they want to live.
The Home Balance Test
You can determine if you have a balance problem from the comfort of your home! Watch the video below for instructions on how to complete The Home Balance Test.
Stability Function Index
Your Stability Function Index is a metric that helps determine if you might have an increased risk for balance, coordination or other proprioceptive deficits. This information can help identify potentially life-threatening falls, long before one ever occurs.
Your doctor will use your Stability Function Index to guide a corrective treatment plan designed to safely stimulate the neural pathways and restore strength and range of motion to the musculoskeletal systems critical for balance and stability.
Step 1: ProBalance Evaluation
It only takes about 5 minutes to determine if you might have an increased risk for balance or other proprioceptive problems. The ProBalance uses a force pressure plate to gather data through both static and dynamic patient assessments.
After determining your Stability Function Index, your doctor will devise a treatment plan consisting of cognitive exercises and Mechanical Motion Therapy to train and rehabilitate the neural pathways and musculoskeletal systems to improve your balance, stability, and coordination.
Step 2: Mechanical Motion Therapy
Mechanical Motion Therapy delivers comfortable, high-speed, percussive treatment to the soft tissues while the patient moves through a series of motions. This combination of specialized treatment applied to actively contracted areas of the body produces significant, positive, and long-lasting changes to the muscles, ligaments, tendons, and neural pathways; by affecting the soft tissues and neural pathways in this way, patients find relief from pain, increased range of motion, and improved balance and coordination.
Step 3: Freedom Lifestyle
Mechanical Motion Therapy provides a safe, non-invasive alternative for the pain management, functional mobility improvement, and balance and coordination enhancement.
Stability problems can have a devastating effect on your quality of life. With Mechanical Motion Therapy and the ProBalance360 technology, you can live your life free from pain, suffering, and worry.
